Charene Thornton (2015) has an undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Wilberforce University and a Master’s degree in Logistics and Operations Management from Wright State University. Charene is employed in the Wright State University Career Center as a Student Services Coordinator, with a focus on student engagement and as an administrator for the Federal Work Study Reading Tutor program. She is an advocate for Women’s Rights and Equity and Inclusion initiatives at the university and is presently enriching her studies in Women in Leadership. Charene plans to use her scholarship funds to attend the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education.
