24th Annual ConferenceSave the Date: Friday, November 4th, 2022

Conference Theme: Together We Can

The American Council on Education Women’s Network- Ohio (ACE WNO) invites you to submit a proposal for its 24th annual conference.

Our theme this year is, “Together We Can”. Attendees will learn how to lean into our networks for sources of strength, perseverance, and support while navigating a changed higher education landscape. Along the way, we’ll gain insight and develop skills in mentoring, coaching, and sponsoring each other and ourselves.

Conference session proposals should focus on one of three themes:

  • Creating and sustaining systems of support (as mentors, coaches, and sponsors) for women leaders across academe
  • Finding personal and professional strategies for navigation and perseverance in leadership
  • Respecting the intersectionality of our identities as women and diverse leaders

Conference sessions are intended to create opportunities for deep discussion and skill-building related to developing women, and to inform attendees on current higher education issues and trends. Practice-based proposals are especially encouraged.

Concurrent Session Proposal Requirements and Submission Information:
All proposals must be submitted by Friday, July 8, 2022, via this ONLINE PROPOSAL FORM.  Late and/or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Presenters will be notified no later than Monday, August 15, 2022, if their proposals have been accepted.

Accepted presenters will be asked to provide a professional headshot or high-resolution jpeg photo and a short bio for inclusion in the conference program.

Tips for Creating a Successful Proposal:

  • Clearly and thoroughly complete each portion of the proposal form.
  • If feasible, connect the topic of the session to the central theme or one of the three conference themes.
  • Clearly state the goals and objectives of the session.
  • Focus the topic so that the presentation fits within the allotted time frame.
  • Target the topic to a mixed audience of faculty, staff, administrators, and graduate students.
  • Include an interactive component (if appropriate).
