Board Member

Director of Diversity, Access, & Inclusion (DAI) at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio

Dr. Danyelle Gregory serves as the inaugural Director of Diversity, Access, & Inclusion (DAI) at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. Her primary focus is building the university’s DAI department through campus-wide education and programming, while also building partnerships with surrounding communities to create a culture of access and inclusion for Muskingum’s current and prospective campus community. Dr. Danyelle has over 12 years of experience in higher education advocating and providing mentorship to underrepresented student populations. Prior to her current role, she served as the Coordinator of Pre-College Programs at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, where she oversaw the day to day operation and administration of a federal Michigan GEAR UP college access grant.

As a TRIO Upward Bound Alum, first-generation college student, and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Dr. Danyelle is committed to providing guidance and support to other first-generation students and families, with a special commitment to African American young women in both the realm of higher education and the greater community. Dr. Danyelle holds a Doctorate of Education in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University and a Master’s of Higher Education and Student Affairs from Western Michigan University. Dr. Danyelle firmly believes in paying it forward by continuing to diversify the pipelines to leadership within higher education. Her favorite quote comes from the late Maya Angelou – “When you learn…teach, and when you get…give.” She reminds herself daily, that “It doesn’t have to be lonely at the top.”
